What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the feeling of allowing a student to understand and grasp a concept through my explaining and teaching them how to apply the concept. This gives me a sense of achievement as I believe I have done something positive for the student as that student as learnt one more thing that will help them improve academically.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strength as a tutor is that I have clear communication skills which helps me thoroughly explain complex concepts in the math and science subjects. It also allows me to explain the same subject in a variety of ways to fit the needs of different students. I also have strong subject knowledge in the subjects I teach especially in the WACE subjects where I have a thorough understanding of the syllabus and common structure of questions and marking keys.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student to is support the student to the best of their abilities and to also believe in the student. Supporting the student to the best of their abilities means that the student will have more assistance for their tutors to achieve their goals. And we as tutors must believe in the abilities to bring out their best academically.

About Yuhan
My background
Hi, my name is Yuhan Zhang or Allan, I graduated from Rossmoyne Senior High School in 2025 with a 99 ATAR with 6 subjects; English, Mathematics Specialist, Mathematics Methods, Chemistry, Physics and accounting. I am currently studying Engineering first year at Curtin University
Clear explanations tailored to each student
Yuhan focuses on breaking complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations, often using more than one method so students can find the approach that makes sense to them. He listens carefully to identify where a student is getting stuck, then targets that exact gap rather than reteaching everything. This tutor uses real question examples to connect theory to practice, helping students feel more confident when they see similar problems in class or in assessments.
Patient, encouraging mentor for primary and high school learners
As a recent high school graduate, Yuhan understands the current curriculum and the pressures students face. He brings a calm, patient attitude to every session, giving students time to think and ask questions without feeling rushed or judged. He is organised and reliable, aiming to build steady improvement over time rather than quick fixes. Parents can expect a friendly role model who helps students build both their skills and their confidence in maths.
