What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The best thing about tutoring is being able to teach the children about the world. Helping them to understand a concept is a very rewarding job to do. I also enjoy being able to work with different kids and find ways to help each individual child learn in a way that suits them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are that I have vast experience working with children of all ages through soccer coaching, refereeing, and babysitting. Furthermore, I have recently completed school, so I have up-to-date knowledge on various subjects in school

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing is to be able to teach each child in a way that suits them. I also think it is important to push the children to challenge themselves academically and help to motivate the child to compete their schoolwork.

About Takara

Strong Maths Student with Real Classroom-Like Experience

Takara is a high-achieving Year 12 graduate with strong results in Mathematical Methods, English, Biology and Economics, and an ATAR above 90%. She has earned multiple mathematics competition credits, showing she not only keeps up at school but also enjoys stretching herself. Her experience helping younger students with reading and answering subject questions on school open days means she already understands how to explain concepts clearly and patiently to children at different levels.

Confident Leader Used to Working with Children

This tutor has extensive hands-on experience with children through babysitting, junior soccer coaching and refereeing players of all ages. Managing groups on the field has built her confidence, calm decision-making and clear communication, even when under pressure. As part of her school’s leadership and house teams, she helped plan events and guide younger students, giving her a natural authority that is friendly but firm—ideal for keeping tutoring sessions focused and productive.

Goal-Driven, Relatable Role Model

As a competitive soccer and futsal player, Takara brings discipline, resilience and strong organisation to her tutoring. Recovering from a serious sports injury has taught her how to break big goals into small, achievable steps—an approach she applies when helping students tackle tricky maths topics or build study habits. She is used to balancing training, schoolwork and leadership roles, and can share practical strategies for time management, motivation and confidence that resonate with both primary and high school students.
