I think the most important thing a tutor can do is build a student’s confidence in their own ability to learn. Content and exam techniques are important, but they only work when a student believes they’re capable of understanding the material. As a tutor, I focus on meeting students where they are, creating a safe space for questions, and breaking concepts down in a way that makes progress feel achievable.
