What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
As HSC examinations shift toward assessing studentsβ abilities to apply existing knowledge to new scenarios, it has become increasingly important to holistically understand course content and effectively communicate learning outcomes. My teaching style aims to contextualise new and existing information so that students can make cross-module links and extrapolate their understanding of key syllabus concepts to diverse exam content.

The student shows a solid ability to translate a described or diagrammed situation into an algebraic equation. When a problem lays out relationships between quantities, they can identify the right variables and set up a correct starting equation.
The main pattern is a tendency to complete the first part of a multi-step problem but not carry it through to the end. Several questions were left partially finished or blank after a strong start, particularly on the parts requiring the most steps (e.g. applying a technique like Pythagoras, then combining that result with previous parts, then optimising).
