What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I haven’t tutored before, but I am very passionate about mathematics and would enjoy seeing others succeed and excel from my teaching, and perhaps find enjoyment from mathematics as I do.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that my strengths as a tutor would be my ability to find multiple ways to explain a single problem, and to really make sure that the student understands the logic behind the problem and its core ideas, as this is what I found supported my understanding of mathematics.
As someone who is fascinated by mathematics and who is pursuing it in university, I can use my expanding knowledge of mathematics to
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to teach them to truly understand the core concepts, rather than relying on tricks or memorisation. In my experience, this is extremely helpful in consolidating your learning, and can help when different topics in a subject have crossovers in content. Another important thing for students is to make the experience of learning interesting, but challenging. I found that my when my high school teachers would make the class interesting, paired with difficult yet doable challenges, I felt more motivated to excel in the class.
