What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students grow in confidence as they begin to understand concepts they once found challenging. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a student move from feeling unsure to being able to approach problems independently and think through them with a sense of clarity. I find it especially fulfilling to know that alongside helping them improve academically, I’m also building their belief in their own abilities and fostering a more positive attitude towards learning.

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is provide clear guidance while gradually building students’ independence towards their studies. A tutor should be able to help students understand not just what to do, but why they are doing it, so they can then apply those skills on their own. It’s also important to help students feel supported in a structured lesson so they become more willing to ask questions, take on challenges and actively engage in their learning. Ultimately, a good tutor equips their students with strategies and confidence needed to succeed beyond the tutoring session.
