What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy tutoring because I find it really rewarding to help students understand concepts that they previously found difficult. I especially like seeing their confidence grow as things start to make sense. Being able to support students through challenges and help them feel more capable in their learning is something I genuinely enjoy.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am patient and approachable, and I focus on explaining concepts using simple, clear language. I am always happy to repeat or explain ideas in different ways until a student understands. I also take a structured approach by planning sessions and focusing on the areas where students feel least confident. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to build a studentβs confidence and create a comfortable learning environment. When students feel supported, they are more willing to ask questions and engage with the material. I also focus on identifying gaps in understanding and helping students develop strong foundations, so they can become more independent and confident learners over time.

About Shruti
Science-Based Tutor Who Makes Concepts Click
Shruti is a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Chemistry, with a strong grounding in how and why things work at a molecular level. She brings this depth into her tutoring, turning abstract ideas in maths and science into everyday examples students can relate to. Having written detailed scientific reports and interpreted real experimental data, she helps students move beyond memorising formulas to actually understanding them, building confidence for school assessments and exams.
Experienced One-to-One Tutor with Structured Study Plans
As a private tutor, Shruti has designed personal learning plans for teenagers, broken tricky topics into clear steps, and created tailored revision schedules. She is used to composing concise summaries of concepts, which is ideal for helping students prepare for tests and manage homework. Shruti pays close attention to how each student learns, adjusting explanations and practice questions so they feel supported but still challenged enough to progress.
Engaging with Young Learners and Multilingual Support
Through several years of volunteering with children and teenagers, Shruti has led group activities, supported holiday programmes, and helped create a positive, engaging learning atmosphere. This experience means she knows how to keep younger students focused while still making sessions enjoyable. Fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati, and proficient in Kiswahili, she can draw on multiple languages to clarify ideas where helpful, making her particularly supportive for bilingual or multilingual families.
