Understanding how a student thinks, then breaking things down in a way that works specifically for them and watching their confidence grow. My proudest moment was seeing a student go from barely passing to consistent Bs and As within a year, while dealing with serious family difficulties. Within a few sessions, I adapt my entire approach around the individual. One of my students was a passionate football fan who found Maths abstract and unengaging.
