What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The best part about tutoring is helping a student overcome their confusion into confidence. And I love doing that breaking down complex topics into simple concepts through set by step explanations or demonstrations (and all I need is a paper and pen!). Furthermore, establishing a bond of trust with my student is a very rewarding feeling and I wish to accomplish that with everyone I have the pleasure to teach.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor, my greatest strength is problem-solving with patience and solving complex problems alongside my students. I am also very passionate about subjects like biology, chemistry and mathematics as those are the primary subjects I currently study in my degree at university, so I am confident that I can teach these disciplines clearly and intelligibly. In addition, having given countless exams myself, I know the feeling of exam pressure too well, I will therefore ensure that I start preparing my students for their respective examinations at an appropriate time.
Most important things I can do for a student π
As a tutor the most important thing I consider is to create a safe learning space for every student. In order to do this, I will always hold a friendly approach towards my students and attempt to answer as many questions as I am able--literally about anything! I strongly believe emotional safety directly affects academic growth. Alternatively, I also believe that the ultimate goal of tutoring, which is to promote independence is as important as is guidance. After several classes, I aim to slowly reduce my hand-holding and test students on their understanding on a concept.

About Sakshi
Energetic Science Student with a Love for Working with Young People
Sakshi is a Bachelor of Science student majoring in biomedical science and zoology, giving her a strong foundation in analytical thinking and scientific literacy that she brings into Maths and English tutoring. She is fluent in both English and Hindi, allowing her to support bilingual students with confidence. Her university studies train her to break down complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations, which she adapts to suit different ages and learning styles.
Hands-On Coaching Experience with Children and Teens
As an assistant instructor for childrenβs capoeira classes, this tutor has spent years guiding young learners in a structured but fun environment. She has helped plan class routines, design program structures and support performances, giving her practical experience in managing groups and keeping students engaged. This background means she understands how to build focus, discipline and confidence in students, and she carries that same patient, active approach into one-on-one academic sessions.
Workshop Leader and Confident Communicator
Through her role as a student advocate, Sakshi has researched global marine issues and delivered workshops in schools, leading discussions and responding to student questions. This experience has sharpened her ability to explain challenging content in accessible language and to draw quieter students into the conversation. She uses real-world examples, especially from science and the environment, to make Maths and English feel relevant and interesting, helping students stay curious while steadily improving their results.
