Connecting with the students. As i said earlier, i truly believe that if your don't connect with a student, then they wont listen to you, and if they wont listen to you, it doesn't matter if your the smartest tutor in the world! I also believe that once i can get through to a student, i'm really good at explaining concepts in simple words, with analogies, acronyms, acrostics and other tools.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Firstly be a mentor. Depending on the age of the student, it is likely you've been in their shoes. You owe it to the student and their family to help them feel academically confident, and reassure them for their future studies.
