Getting through 12 grades of school has its challenges. From actually passing exams to building intellectual independence to figuring out what to do after high school's over. Everyone can remember some of the hurdles that came up during the school years of their life. We have 74 English tutors in Bentleigh East available to help your child overcome some of those hurdles. Private tutoring is all about a tailored approach, so whether your child needs to overcome some confidence issues, develop a study plan, prepare for exams or comprehend some specific trouble topics, we're here to help. So how does it all work?
The tutoring is done in your home at a time and day that is convenient. We want you to be super happy with your English tutor so the first lesson works as a trial: don't like it = don't pay for it. No extra charges, booking costs, cancellation fees, minimum requirements or anything of that sort. Pay for the tutoring time used at the end of each month based on a simple hourly rate. That's all!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
1-TA : Olivia needs more commitment to talking aloud, as she currently inconsistent in adopting it. 2- B/C: this is another strategy that requires more attention from her. 3- P/P: also she needs to adopt 'Pen to Paper' consistently. 4-Self-Questioning: below-average 5- Note Taking: rarely takes notes. 6- Seeking Understanding: very good attitude in this strategy. 7- Confidence: needs more improvement. 8- Avoid lazy thinking: doing well. 9- Avoid Rule Dependency: needs more improvement
Ben maintains a good attitude towards his studies. However, I do think the lessons may be more worthwhile if he had more confidence and was keen in taking on slightly more challenging math problems outside of his comfort zone. Ben puts genuine effort into his mathematics as indicated by the grade he received for his recent mathematics assessment/assignment (16/20). There are no issues with Ben's work habits from what I have observed.
Alex excels at maths. There are some sections of English that have caused difficulty, namely in the research essays of last term. However, this is minimal and continued tutoring will minimise this issue. Nothing much to speak of! English is a bit more difficult that maths, but it's not anything to be concerned about.

Thomas got 83% in each of his 2 Maths exams in the last week, (he went from 97 % to 50 % which made us think of tutoring) but for me its not the mark , it's the fact that he is happy and confident and really looking forward to his tutor time. It has done such a lot for his confidence Big thanks to Gabrielle!
We are all very happy with Rebecca. Myself, my husband and especially Grace, which is wonderful. Rebecca and Grace's school teacher have spoken via email and are working together. I think it is too early to see any real progress, as you said we would expect to see a difference in the next couple of months. But for now we are glad Grace is getting the help she needs while enjoying the company of Rebecca.
Mitch has been so wonderful with Nick and is doing an amazing job tutoring Nick, especially getting Nick focused on completing his maths homework. He has worked with Nick so well and has established a great working relationship with him. His patient demeanor is certainly a strong attribute and has made tutoring for Nick so much easier. Nick has commented several times that 'he has learnt more with Mitch today than he has all week with his teacher'.
