What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Observing the moment when something "clicks" for someone is what I love most about tutoring. Breaking down an idea in multiple ways until it makes sense is incredibly satisfying, particularly in disciplines like arithmetic where students frequently feel stuck at first. Additionally, I like to assist students gain confidence by not just helping them find the correct solution but also helping them comprehend why it works so they can solve problems on their own.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My ability to effectively explain subjects and modify my teaching style to fit each student is one of my biggest advantages as a tutor. I've discovered that everyone learns differently from my experience coaching badminton, so I concentrate on breaking things down step-by-step and experimenting until it makes sense.
Additionally, I'm patient and encouraging, which fosters a welcoming atmosphere where kids feel comfortable asking questions. In order to help students solve problems on their own, I make sure to not only provide answers but also help them comprehend the logic behind them.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Helping students grasp concepts rather than just memorising steps is, in my opinion, the most crucial thing a tutor can do for them. This entails simplifying concepts, outlining the logic behind solutions, and motivating pupils to think for themselves.
Developing the student's confidence is equally crucial. Establishing a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions is crucial since many students struggle not because they lack aptitude but rather because they doubt themselves.

About Garry
About me
I am a Bachelor of Science student at University of Melbourne, majoring in Data Science, currently based in Melbourne. I have a strong interest in using data to solve real-world problems, with experience in programming, algorithms, and statistical analysis.
Hobbies
Iβm into programming and like building small projects to learn new things and improve my skills. Outside of that, I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with friends, and gaming. I like anything that involves problem-solving or a bit of competition.
Tutoring Experience
I also have experience both being tutored and working as a tutor. Having been on both sides, Iβve seen different teaching styles and understand what makes explanations clear and helpful. Thatβs shaped how I approach tutoring β focusing on breaking things down simply and adapting to how each student learns.
