What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the moment when a concept finally clicks for a student, especially in a subject like maths that can feel overwhelming at first. It’s really rewarding to build their confidence and see them become more independent. I also like that tutoring is personalised, as adapting my approach to each student keeps it meaningful.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
A strength of mine is clear communication, as I explain concepts in simple, step-by-step ways without overcomplicating them. I’m also patient and adaptable, adjusting my teaching style to suit how each student learns best. With a strong foundation from Maths Methods and Applications, I can confidently support students in their learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important role of a tutor is to help students build genuine understanding rather than just memorising methods, so they can apply concepts independently. It’s also important to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment that builds confidence and encourages questions. Over time, a tutor should foster independence while reinforcing skills through consistent practice.

Attention was a lot better today. Her addition of single digit numbers with either a two digit number or a single digit number was good today. Adding two two-digit numbers with decimals in the hundredths together was also good today, especially remembering to include the decimal point. Timetables with 1,2,3 were good with only a few weak ones. She also did do addition from left to right continuously today.
Her 6, 7 and 8 timestables are weaker especially when it is the higher one digit numbers such as 6x8. Specific times tables 2x6 and 3x6, she continuously got the two answers confused with each other.
