What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy making progress with my students on the long term. Its very rewarding to see that my actions in tutoring actually having a substantial effect on their academic performance.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths are gauging a students strengths and weaknesses, and tailoring/tweaking schedules to suit their individual needs in any specific subject. I believe this is an important skill due to the fact that tutors are generally sought after in the case of a student that is behind academically, or a student that wants to excel beyond the median, and most of the time a good understanding of a students strengths and weaknesses allow for effective progress to be made.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The utmost important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them find passion and genuine understanding in the subject they seek tutoring for. This builds a foundation for not only good performance on tests and assessments, but also a substantial interest in the given field of study, which is very valuable in the academic journeys of students beyond just the classrooms and possibly into careers and their future.

About Rishi

High-achieving recent graduate with proven tutoring results

Rishwanth is a high-achieving VCE graduate (ATAR above 90%) who already has hands-on experience tutoring Years 8–9 students, especially for selective school entrance exams. He is used to breaking down challenging Maths and English-style reasoning problems into clear, manageable steps and setting realistic goals with students. This tutor focuses on building exam skills as well as understanding, helping students move from “sort of get it” to confidently tackling harder questions under time pressure.

Structured, personalised lessons that track real progress

In his private tutoring, Rishwanth has created tailored lesson plans based on each student’s strengths and gaps, rather than using a one-size-fits-all worksheet approach. He tracks progress carefully, adjusts his explanations when something doesn’t click, and uses targeted practice to build both accuracy and speed. Parents can expect organised sessions, clear homework expectations, and regular check-ins on goals, whether the focus is catching up, extension, or exam preparation.

Coaching mindset that builds confidence and resilience

Beyond academics, Rishwanth brings strong mentoring experience from leading a volleyball team as captain and coaching boxing for competition-level students. He is used to teaching under pressure, keeping instructions calm and clear, and encouraging students who are nervous or easily frustrated. This tutor draws on that coaching background to help school students develop confidence, focus, and resilience, so they don’t just improve marks, they also feel more in control of their learning.
