What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
First, English has been one of my most enduring passions, even before entering school. I have always enjoyed reading and writing, and love to impart this fondness on to others. Tutoring can also be a long and arduous process, especially since the student rarely feels adept in the chosen subject. However, this is also one of its most rewarding aspects - helping students overcome their struggles and achieve their goals is the greatest reward.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that good tutors need to be skilled in two different facets. The first, having a thorough and meticulous knowledge of their subject, and the second, having the ability to distil this knowledge so that it is simple and straightforward. I think that my past tutoring experience has allowed me to cultivate my skills in the above, and has emphasised the importance of developing a genuine connection to the student. These are my greatest strengths.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think building confidence and a long-lasting appreciation of learning in a particular subject are the best things a tutor can give to a student. Understanding of content is useful for improving grades in the short-term, but acquiring sustainable skills that will persist beyond the teaching period is an advantage that will be useful for life.
