What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to share my passion for subjects like mathematics. What I find most rewarding is seeing students gradually understand concepts they once found difficult, that moment when something finally clicks for them. I also enjoy explaining ideas in my own way and helping students build confidence in their learning. At the same time, tutoring challenges me to deepen my own understanding of the subjects I study at university
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways, adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style. I often use visual examples to break down complex mathematical ideas and make them easier to understand. I also make an effort to check in with students regularly to ensure they are keeping up with content and feel comfortable asking questions. Additionally, I’m able to quickly assess a student’s current level and tailor my teaching to help them improve effectively
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do is create a safe and supportive learning environment. Students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment, even if they think their questions are simple. Developing a strong understanding, especially in subjects like mathematics, often comes from asking ‘why’ and exploring concepts more deeply. If students feel hesitant to ask questions, gaps in their understanding can easily form. By creating a space where students feel confident to engage openly, a tutor can help address these gaps and support more
