I feel a tutor can positively influence a student. 1. There are many students who take plenty of time to understand a concept, that doesn't mean they are weak, they just need one more session, more practice. A tutor must understand the student first, their strengths and weakness and tutor them accordingly. 2. Teachers at school and parents might pressure the students to score more, make them feel like they aren't good enough academically but they never understand that it would spoil the students personal self confidence.
