What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is when I can see a student of mine going from being stuck on a problem or concept they find difficult to grasp, to actually understanding it and feeling confident about solving similar problems, and to help them realize that the "hard" concept they are trying to understand is actually easier than they think. I also enjoy building a very supportive learning environment where students find comfortable asking any sort of question.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of my biggest strength is being able to break complex problems into smaller bitesized portions that I teach to a student step by step. Because I think that rather than overwhelming a student with the entire problem all at once, breaking it down into smaller more understandable steps is better, and going through each step, making sure the student understands it as you go through. Another strength of mine is that I always try to visualize a problem mostly through drawing a diagram because I think visualizing a problem helps students understand it better.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is to make sure their student feels comfortable asking any sort of question from the tutor about the subject and clarifying any doubt the student might have. Another important things a tutor can do for a student is making sure they understand the concept they are teaching by asking the student follow up questions.
