What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to work with different students on a range of different topics and being involved in their academic journey. Being able to be more than just a tutor to my students is extremely rewarding and it’s made me realise that tutoring is not just about helping students get better grades but also allowing them room to breathe, grow and improve on skills that will help them manage schoolwork which ultimately helps them perform better in the long run. I love seeing students who started off timid and doubtful of their own abilities turn into confident and motivated students.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Many students find themselves in difficult situations where they may feel overwhelmed by the pressure of schoolwork and balancing their workload which is why I always try my best to help alleviate that stress by helping them become more confident in their skills and guiding them through hard times. I also try to stay on top of tasks and am highly organised, allowing me to manage the workload as a tutor and also give extra time and care to students.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help students truly understand concepts rather than just giving them answers. A good tutor explains ideas clearly and is able to adjust their approach depending on how the student learns best. Patience and encouragement are also really important, because they help build the student’s confidence and make them more willing to ask questions. I also think a tutor should focus on developing independence by teaching problem solving skills and effective study habits, so the student can continue improving even outside of tutoring sessions
