What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have a genuine passion for helping others reach their potential. I find it really rewarding to break down concepts in a way that finally makes sense to a student and to see their confidence grow over time. I also value being able to provide a level of support and guidance that I didn’t always have access to myself. That drives me to create a supportive environment where students feel understood, motivated, and capable of achieving the marks they’re aiming for.

My passion for helping others allows me to stay consistent and organised in tracking student progress to ensure each session is purposeful and aligned with student goals. I achieve this by remaining patient and approachable, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident to as questions and aren’t afraid of making mistakes. I pay close attention to areas students are struggling in and tailor my support to target those gaps effectively. I know that no two students are the same, so I ensure I adapt my teaching style to each new individual, ensuring maximum benefit for all.

I believe a tutor must build a students understanding and confidence. It’s not just about helping them get the right answers, but making sure they actually understand the reasoning so that they can also succeed independently. I also believe that it is vital for a tutor to allow the student to not feel afraid to ask questions or make mistakes, as this will only stunt growth and minimise academic benefit. When a student feels confident to ask questions and attempt all questions despite their difficulty, is when they will truly improve.
