What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most is watching a student go from feeling stuck in the trenches to having that "aha" moment where a concept finally clicks, their faces brightens up and I see the confidence that comes with it.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe every wrong answer is simply part of the process of getting to the right one. It's natural, and no student should ever feel judged for it. This mindset comes from my own experience: I've failed my tuition's practice exam in 3/4 VCE Physics that felt like a real setback at the time. But going back to basics and identifying my weaknesses quickly turned that into an A+ on the exam. That experience is exactly why I can empathize with a struggling student, I know what it feels like on their side of the desk. Through this mindset I hope to show that I am approachable and genuine.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most valuable thing a tutor ever did for me wasn't more homework, it was asking me to explain a concept back in my own words until we found where the gaps in my understanding were. But the most important thing I believe a tutor can do is to adapt to their student's circumstances. Lesson plans are not rigid, they will come apart depending on the pace and health of the student. The best thing a tutor can do is adjust accordingly and supplement in whatever way they can.
