What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to connect and communicate with all kinds of people, as every student brings a unique perspective that broadens my own outlook on life. Having also worked as a part-time volleyball coach, I have developed a genuine passion for teaching and providing meaningful feedback that helps students grow. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student improve, whether on the court or in the classroom, as their progress brings me a deep sense of satisfaction and reminds me why I love what I do.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My greatest strengths as a tutor are my communication skills and patience. I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with basic Japanese communication skills, allowing me to explain concepts in whatever language a student is most comfortable with. No matter the situation, I remain patient and never rush a student, creating a comfortable environment where they feel at ease to learn and ask questions freely.

I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to simplify complex material into clear, digestible pieces and to ensure the student genuinely understands the content rather than just memorising it. A great tutor meets the student at their level, breaks concepts down patiently, checks for real understanding through questions, and builds the student's confidence so they can eventually tackle the material on their own.
