What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring provides me the opportunity to utilise my previous experiences in said subjects to help guide younger students through the trails and tribulations that is High-school. Furthermore, as someone who is also currently still studying at University and constantly learning new skills breaking down complex topics to younger students and simplifying as-well as explaining reinforces key topics in these subjects and helps me learn too! keeping me on track. Furthermore i've always found that explaining topics to other students helps both parties to some extent.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My ability to clearly and concisely explain topics with simple language and reinforce understanding by giving different alternating perspectives effectively. Additionally acknowledging that ultimately good exam performance comes not from memorising but rather understanding core topics, and being able to apply them skillfully, memorising is only secondary. Especially in subjects like maths where this is often overlooked and formulas are just memorised...it's important to understand derivations and reinforce them well.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is without doubt instilling the student with the core skills that allows them to adapt and apply their learnings to a plethora of questions. Ultimately in exams the school will assess application of theorems or understanding of them through asking you utilise the skills you learnt in unfamiliar settings. you can never fully know or memorise how to answer every question...what separates the highest performing students from the rest is this capability to apply what they learnt to harder more unfamiliar questions.
