What I enjoy most is that moment when something finally clicks for a student, when a concept that felt impossible a few minutes earlier suddenly makes sense to them. I started tutoring long before it was ever a paid job, helping classmates before exams simply because I liked seeing them understand things properly. I'm patient, and I'm good at breaking difficult ideas down into simple, logical steps that actually make sense to the student in front of me, not just a generic explanation. I've tutored over 650 students in maths and taught university level courses in linear algebra and electrical machines, so I've had a lot of practice adjusting my teaching style depending on how someone learns best. Build real understanding rather than memorisation, and build the student's confidence alongside it. My personal measure of whether a student has actually learned something is whether they could turn around and explain it to someone else.
