What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students gain confidence in their own abilities. During my previous tutoring experience at Allen Coaching Institute and through home tutoring, I realised that every student learns differently. I enjoy finding different ways to explain a concept until it finally makes sense to them. Seeing a student who was initially hesitant begin to participate, ask questions and solve problems independently is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I also find that teaching strengthens my own understanding because it encourages me to think about concepts as a student
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my biggest strengths are patience, communication and adaptability. I don't believe there is a single way to teach because every student learns at a different pace. I try to understand where a student is struggling before deciding how to explain a concept. My previous tutoring experience has taught me the importance of listening, encouraging questions and creating a comfortable learning environment. I am also organised, approachable and committed to helping students understand the reasoning behind a solution rather than simply memorising answers.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe a tutor should do more than explain course content. A tutor should create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about making mistakes. Building confidence is just as important as teaching technical concepts because confident students are more willing to participate and solve problems independently. I also think a good tutor should be patient, approachable and able to adapt their teaching style to suit different students. Ultimately, the goal is to help students become independent learners
