What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When the students genuinely understand the concept being taught and ask follow-up questions and engage with me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I'm quite patient and very capable of simplifying concepts and explaining the same thing in multiple ways.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Help them understand the content without feeling stupid and teach them in a way that makes them enjoy learning the subject!

About Nishika

Academic Background

I have done very well in school, achieved grades within the top 5 of my grade from grades 9 to 12, maintained an average of 95%+ for mathematics through most of grades 11 and 12 while taking all possible mathematics units. I also received a 98% for my economics IAL, A*s for mathematics & further mathematics, and an A for physics. Presently, I'm studying Civil Engineering at Deakin and am a Vice-Chancellor's scholar. I thoroughly enjoy learning and love sharing my enthusiasm with as many people as I can.

Extracurricular Background

While in school I participated in multiple extracurricular activities which include football, squash, robotics, coding, being part of the outdoor activity club, and cofounded a non-profit organization to help under-privileged communities in Sri Lanka with my friends and independently arranged multiple fundraisers to help us meet our aims. I was also a peer-tutor and have helped my younger sister with her studies during this time.
