What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy helping someone move from feeling stuck or unsure to understanding a problem and being able to solve it themselves. I find it rewarding to work out which part of a topic is causing difficulty, explain it in a different way, and see the student become more confident. I also like that tutoring is not only about improving marks, but about helping students feel less overwhelmed by maths.My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My main strengths are patience, clear communication and strong problem-solving skills. I am good at breaking a difficult question into smaller steps and adjusting my explanation depending on how the student learns. Through helping classmates with maths, programming and engineering topics, I have learned to listen carefully and avoid simply giving someone the answer. I also have a strong academic background in mathematics and use it regularly in my Engineering and Computer Science studies.Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing is to help the student understand how to approach a problem, rather than only helping them reach the correct answer. A tutor should create an environment where the student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. They should also be reliable, patient and willing to adapt lessons to the studentβs individual needs.
