What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I generally enjoy teaching because I fully understand what it feels like to be in a class and the teacher is more or less just speaking to themselves, i.e. not engaging and not carrying everyone along. For a while, I've been looking for an opportunity to be in a position where I can reverse that and properly impact a student's learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I can make learning anything relatable. When I was in High School, I remember teaching one of my classmates, who also ended up achieving an A* (90% and above) in Mathematics.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
For me, the most important thing is ensuring the student actually understands the concept in their own way. Each student is unique, so you can't always assume everyone will understand things the same way. For instance, a student may like AFL, or soccer, or basketball, so you need to explain, for example, algebra, in a way that relates to what they like. That way, it not only becomes understandable but also applicable to that student.
