What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
One of the main reason is that I know the firsthand joy of finally solving a question that looked impossible to solve.
Being able to share that feeling and help my students experience that same sense of satisfaction is what enjoys me.
Also, beyond solving problems, it's incredibly rewarding to help and see students build real confidence, and see how they mature in the way they approach difficult questions, which ultimately leads to perfected self study.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My biggest strength as a tutor is approachability. I bring enthusiasm to tutoring, and I build a friendly, easy going environment where students feel completely comfortable asking any question, no matter how basic or stupid it can be.
Instead of just spoon feeding answers theyβll quickly forget, I heavily focus on understanding. I am a strong believer of quality over quantity, and this had lead me to master the way I explain concepts.
Also, knowing the exact stress they're under exam conditions, I share real, first hand strategies to manage exam anxiety and performance under pressure,
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is provide clarification. Tutors aren't traditional classroom teachers, we are an accessible resource for students to get help from the concepts they find confusing.
I believe a tutor shouldn't just hand over practice questions and leave students to solve them. It's about providing an opportunity, where students bring the exact confusion they have, so we can untangle those gaps, clarify, and then further their understanding.
