What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping students who are struggling with a subject gain confidence and eventually enjoy it. I can relate to this personally because I used to really dislike maths and struggled with it myself. Over time, I changed the way I approached the subject and eventually became one of the top students in my class. Because of that experience, I really enjoy seeing a student go from thinking “I’m just not good at this†to understanding the topic and achieving results they are proud of.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my biggest strength is that I can understand where a struggling student is coming from. I don’t assume that something is “easy†just because I understand it. I try to explain concepts in simple, different ways until the student finds an approach that works for them. I am also patient and encouraging, while still making sure students understand the concepts rather than just memorising answers.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing is to build both understanding and confidence. A tutor should help a student understand why something works, not just show them how to get the answer. It is also important to listen to the student, identify where they are struggling, and adapt the way you teach to suit them.
