What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to simplify concepts so the student can understand it, then slowly building it up so they have a comprehensive understanding of a topic by being able to interlink concepts.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength is breaking down hard concepts through guided scaffolding while maintaining a relaxed, judgment-free space where students feel safe taking risks. I quickly diagnose root conceptual gaps and teach self-correction habits that turn mistakes into long-term confidence.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important role of a tutor is to act as a guide rather than a lecturer, fostering self-directed learning and deep conceptual understanding over rote memorization. Tutors must normalize mistakes as essential learning tools and ultimately equip students with the independence to succeed on their own.

About Yasser
My Teaching Approach
I see my role as a guide rather than a lecturer. Rather than just handing over answers, I ask students to attempt problems first and talk through their thinking, so we can find exactly where their understanding breaks down and fix it properly, not just patch over it. I'm a big believer that mistakes are part of learning, not something to be embarrassed about, and I try to build genuine confidence alongside subject knowledge, since the two usually go hand in hand.
A Bit About Me
Outside of tutoring and university, I train in calisthenics regularly, so I understand the value of consistent practice and discipline firsthand — something I try to bring into how I coach students through their own study habits. I'm also an aspiring actuary, which keeps me genuinely engaged with maths and problem-solving well beyond the classroom. I enjoy connecting with students individually and keeping sessions relaxed and friendly rather than overly formal, while still staying focused on real results.
