What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is that teaching is also a way of learning. When I explain a concept, I understand it more deeply myself, and I find it fascinating that two students can take in the same idea in completely different ways. Working out how each student thinks is one of the most rewarding parts. I also like putting knowledge I spent hours mastering to real use, so it actually helps someone else. Above all, I enjoy working with people and having a positive influence on students at such a formative stage of their lives. For me, that is where the fulfilment comes from.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My greatest strengths are patience and empathy. I can put myself in a student's shoes, and if they don't understand something, I won't give up. I'll keep finding new ways to explain it until it clicks, because I believe anything is learnable. I completed A Levels in Mathematics, Biology and Psychology in Dubai and now study Computer Science, so the content is fresh. Having adapted to a new education system, I'm flexible in how I explain things. I've also had several tutors, so I know how much a good one can change a student's results.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is make concepts as clear and easy to understand as possible. Beyond explaining content, a tutor should provide guidance, teaching students how to approach a problem, not just how to solve one. Tutoring also brings discipline. Regular sessions give students consistent structure and dedicated time to study, which builds strong habits. As their knowledge grows, confidence follows naturally. Ultimately, the more a student learns, the more options they open up for their future, and helping them get there is a tutor's most valuable role.
