What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

I think what I enjoy most about tutoring is the feeling that your students see you as more than just their tutor โ€” as a friend, well-wisher, and advisor all at once. I feel students can only truly put forward their concerns and doubts when they feel they wonโ€™t be judged and that their tutor is easy-going and approachable. I take pride in being that person they can lean on whenever they need support.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

I am quite easy-going and approachable. I like to teach in a way that is playful, fun, and easy to grasp, whilst still getting the most out of each concept. I like to put a lot of effort into my delivery so that my students donโ€™t have to go the extra mile. I am patient, and I like to tailor my lessons according to each studentโ€™s learning style and needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of the fundamentals rather than simply memorising answers. I aim to make lessons interactive, practical, and enjoyable, using simple explanations and real-world examples wherever possible.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

For me the most important things a tutor can do is first of all to make them realise that you're going to help rather than judge them. Every student learns differently and it's essential the tutor understands that. I reckon lectures, practise sets, and examples given in the class should be crafted keeping the student in mind. A tutor should always try to give students an impression that whatever topics we're going to learn ar easy, understandable and doable rather than emphasising the complexity of it. I believe the first step towards great learning is developing an affinity with subject.
