What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students to understand and have fun learning their subjects. It is a very satisfying feeling for me as a tutor when a student who was 'stumped' on a question or topic can confidently answer questions in that topic. I also enjoy sharing with students my passion for mathematics and science.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am able to relate well to students, as I am also someone who is constantly learning in these subjects as a part of my University degree. I am aware of common misconceptions and the 'gaps' in the explanations provided by textbooks due to my own recent learning experiences. Moreover, I truly do enjoy the subjects that I teach and I believe that in replicating this appreciation for mathematics in science, I can motivate students to study hard. Outside of tutoring sessions.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor can have a long term impact on a student by showing them how interesting the subject really is. This is something that is very difficult to convey through writing alone, and so most textbooks are not very successful at doing this. An equally important short term goal for a tutor should be to ensure that their student has a deep understanding of the subject by providing them with as many practice questions as possible, and equipping them with the confidence they need to get through their exams.
