What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
The most enjoyable part is creating break throughs for the student or individual you're trying to teach, and being able to overcome what was previously a significant hurdle or obstacle. As a student myself, when concepts or understanding finally click, I know well the feeling of relief when something difficult is finally made simple.
My Strengths as Tutor
My strengths are extreme patience, persistence in trying alternative methods to deliver and teach material, understanding the need for discipline and the importance of repetition and practice, ability to uphold a stress and pressure free learning environment where effort, mistakes and questions are encouraged, friendliness, and a positive outlook.
Most important things I can do for a student
To understand ability level, how the student learns and thinks, to demonstrate value and real-world use of what is being taught, and to work at a suitable pace while continuing to challenge, motivate and to aid with as many tools as possible, while fostering interest. It's also important to build on their strengths and tackle head on where they struggle the most.
