What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
Tutoring is an enjoyable experience that gives me the chance to pass wisdom to young and upcoming students. It also presents me with the opportunity to further improve myself. I enjoy the challenge of explaining difficult concepts to high school students. Everyone is different, so I have to find a way to adapt to their learning style. As a consequence, there’s a possibility that I might learn something new from the experience.
My Strengths as Tutor
As a tutor, I have an incredible amount of patience. Regardless of the challenge, I’m always looking for ways to approach and solve problems. This is the primary reason why I’m studying civil engineering at university. I thoroughly enjoy math and physics because they both present challenges that require skill and knowledge to solve them. I have been involved in tutor programs during my time at high school. So I can definitely relate to the problems students face today, and I also have some good words of advice as well.
Most important things I can do for a student
The best thing I can do for a student, is to give them confidence in themselves. This is an essential part of learning, but also life. By making students realize that math isn’t too difficult, they can let go of the fear associated with it. As a result, they can finally embark on the journey of academic excellence, where students become self-sufficient and responsible for their own results. By ridding the stigma around mathematics, students would then be able to believe in themselves and achieve something greater. Hopefully, they can learn a few life lessons in that process.
