What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I am passionate about teaching others and ensuring that they leave me after having understood any queries they had upon arrival. I am happy to assist in resolving any stresses that a student may have. I am also able to tutor with confidence, after having one year of experience with tutoring high school students.
My Strengths as Tutor
I am well spoken and am able to explain things in a clear, distinctive manner to allow others to understand complex ideas in a more simple form. I also have extensive knowledge on a range of high school subjects after having completed year 12 successfully myself (with an ATAR of 98), as well as having mentored high school students informally for a year in 2017. However, if I do not know how to help with a question, I will ensure that I do some self-learning so that next time, I can get back to their question.
Most important things I can do for a student
One of the most important things when tutoring is to maxmise your effort to help a student in any way possible, without actually doing an assignment/answering the question for them. I believe my role as a tutor is to help grow self-efficacy and to empower my students, so they are confident in tackling any problem.
