Chemistry can seem a bit technical. It's all abstract formulas and content that seems impossible to learn and barely manageable to memorise. The material keeps piling up and how are students supposed to truly learn anything when they're constantly missing something and falling behind?
And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Berala chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Sean has definitely improved in his work ethic and problem solving skills showing a stronger sense of back checking and making good corrections to errors. He is a very confident and hard working student that is capable on working through more difficult problems. He has a great understanding of the overall concepts learned in class and is able to apply his knowledge at high level during the lesson.
His attitude is to try and get as close as possible to perfect marks, and his work habits reflect this. He is always on top of the syllabus and knows exactly what topics he needs to be focused on for an upcoming test.
This month the main focus was on expanding/factorising quadratic equations. Ruby was quite good at this. However, she had trouble recognising the two special types, perfect squares and difference of two squares. This isn't a major issue though since they can still be completed using the method for the general types.
We have been very happy with Kayla's tutoring! Charlie said he was the best prepared he had ever been before a Maths test. He got 64/67 for the knowledge part (previous test was 19/65!). His problem solving, while not fantastic, improved, and his communication had also greatly improved. We are pleased that he ended up with a pass after the previous test, and really I think he will only get better now. Charlie reports that she explains things really well to him which is fantastic.
Thank-you! Chelsea & Jarrod, are very happy with Vafa, and find her very easy to get on with, the kids are feeling very comfortable!! I am very pleased.
Mihika is doing very well with both Lachlan and Courtney, they are building up a rapport together and their exam results have been improved. It certainly has boosted their confidence and we they like their tutor.
