What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
For me, tutoring is a way to assist those students who either struggle to cope with school, and by being a backbone for those and to be able to assist someone in pursuing their dream degree or career is a huge privilege for me. To also see my students succeed in not only academics, but in their confidence as well, would for me be the biggest enjoyment of my life. Tutoring isnโt just a job, but also a responsibility, and when this responsibility is well taken care of, there is no bigger enjoyment than that.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
As a tutor, I believe my greatest strengths involve being patient, as some students take time adapting to new concepts, so to relax and be patient with them is key in not only being a good tutor, but also helping a student learn easier and quicker. I also pride myself in being prompt and clear, as shuffling around words can only confuse a student, so to be able to speak to them in a slow-pace can prove beneficial to helping a student. I also am very dedicated but also fun to be when with students, making sure not every minute is serious, and they can also relax and smile.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is for one be supportive and a backbone. Students come to tutors for help, and as a tutor it is our duty to be dedicated towards these students and make sure we not only teach all the content, but do it in a manner in which the student can understand the concepts and strive forward. Another important thing is practice. Concepts and techniques can be easily be forgotten in a week, so a tutor should be able to give as much practice to a student as possible, so that any past queries of the studentโs is cleared, and they can be more confident.
