What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring has been a great part of my undergraduate life. I have worked part-time as private tutor on and off for 4 years and worked for 7 months as an online English tutor while finishing my university degree. I have always enjoyed interacting with my students, sometimes it is I who learn from them. Tutoring for me is not only a one way street where all the information must come from the teacher, but sometimes I also learn valuable things from my students. Working as a tutor has taught me a great deal about time management, patience and the fulfillment one can get from helping others achieve their goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I consider myself a patient and efficient tutor. I have taught students ranging from ages as young as 6 up to 50 years old and have worked successfully with minimal issues. When I teach, I try to make the student feel as comfortable and as open to me as possible. I want the student to know that learning shouldn’t be frowned upon and that studying can be an enjoyable activity to do.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things to consider to be an effective teacher is to know how to communicate and relay your ideas in the simplest way possible for the student to understand, no matter how complex a topic may seem. I consider myself capable of doing that.
