What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing the improvements in my students as they begin to grasp fundamental and complex concepts. However, what I find most rewarding is seeing the look of understanding on a student's face when they understand a concept for the first time. It is such an encouraging and heartwarming expression that makes tutoring such an enjoyable profession.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have an approachable manner, which enables students to feel comfortable around me. It also allows them to feel comfortable asking questions. Throughout my 7 years of tutoring experience, I have come to realise that each student is different. As a result, they all have their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses. My main strength as a tutor is being able to recognise a student's strengths, and cater my tutoring approach to maximise their strengths and improve upon their deficiencies.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor's primary objective is to help students understand their curriculum, and clarify any concepts that they find confusing. However, tutoring can be an opportunity to offer so much more. As a tutor, you can identify a student's most conducive learning style. In identifying this, it enables the student to use this method in future, either for learning new concepts or retaining information for their tests and assignments. Lastly, a tutor can provide individualised attention that can make the student feel valued and empower them to excel in their schoolwork.
