What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The best thing about tutoring is when something finally clicks for your student and they get to experience the wonder of overcoming a challenging problem. It is always great when I can also distil my love of learning onto a student and see their enthusiasm towards learning grow.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think particularly in teaching mathematics and science my strengths come out as these subjects relate directly to my area of study (Engineering/Mathematics) and I have a good grasp of those subject areas. Also being a student myself I can also offer more advice on learning strategies and methods that have worked for me and also share my passion for maths.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One-on-one tutors get to provide a learning experience different to the one offered in the classroom because it is a more individual form of teaching where the tutor can sync in with the pace of the student and address the student's own problems. It is important for tutors to be able to identify these weak areas or gaps in their students knowledge and then guide them through building on those areas until they are understood. A part of this process is also teaching them better strategies for learning itself to the point where they no longer need you.
