What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Working with the students, working out the gaps in literacy and seeing their improvements. Getting comments from parents how their children have finally enjoyed reading.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Form a good relationship upfront. Discuss my expectations from the student to ensure maximum effort. Know when student is fatigued and have quick "brain break" activities like roll and read or timed activities Have expectations for the student ensuring that activities are at their level then aiming higher - they can do it if effort put in. For younger students have a reward system and set a timer so they understand that it is for an hour and to stay focused.
