What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Personally, I really enjoy helping others improve as it can create room for improvement for both parties. Another thing I find enjoyable in tutoring is being able to utilise my skills not just for myself, but for the betterment of others. In other words, seeing people grow with my assistance brings me great satisfaction.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
The most prominent thing in me as a tutor is my ability to adjust based on the student's pace of learning. Since I used to help a lot of my colleagues in high school, I learned that each individual has a different learning style and thus, each students should be taught differently. Another one of my strengths is the articulation of concepts in a simple yet concise manner rather than asking students to memorise every single thing tediously. This clearly helps students they can have an open-minded mindset in problem solving. Communication is also a big part of my strengths as I'm a multilingual.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider building a strong relationship with students as a big part of tutoring. Tutors are in a unique position where they aren't teachers nor parents which means that we are here to help the students. However, keeping students motivated is a responsibility tutors must hold in a high regard as it is key to a student success. By building a relationship of trust and open-mindedness, tutors can personalise one's learning experience all the while incorporating their interests, building their strengths, and minimising their weaknesses.
