What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is fun because it is related to my degree, teaching, which means it is relevant to my future career, and my interests in what makes tutoring fun aligns with what makes teaching fun. Teaching fun because you get to see a person develop, both academically and as a person, taking in new perspectives aside from the teacher's alone and nurture their future ambitions and passions.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a teaching student I have been taught how students learn, and how to implement teaching strategies within the classroom as well as resources (both online and physical) that are easily transferable to the tutoring environment. Furthermore, I have extensive personal experience with those of mental disabilities and disorders, including persons with autism, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and anxiety, and have strategies of managing and even using these disabilities as a positive boon rather than a hindrance.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is to understand how a student learns and behaves, then processes information and implement teaching strategies accordingly to these behaviours. Creating a safe and positive environment for learning is imperative to a student's ability to properly process information as motivation is a key factor of student learning, and since no student learns the exact same as another, it is important to make formulas for success and translate knowledge into a language comfortable to the student.
