What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, the most exciting part about tutoring is being able to assist learners enjoy learning. I was a student myself and as I grew up in Vietnam, the education system and curriculum were very strict and teacher-focused. The good aspect about this was that it forced me to focus on studying and remembering the knowledge in order to pass exams and get good grades. However, the negative side of it was that students felt a lot of pressure and anxiety that they forgot about the enjoyment in learning. In addition, I have passion for this career as it gives me the flexibility for my other commitments
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As I have studied from a variety of curriculums from Vietnam, to the US, the UK, and now Australia, I'm confident I can bring different perspectives and flexible teaching styles to students in order to create a positive, fun and energetic learning environment. In addition, I have patience and good sense of humor that I believe will be a bonus when working with young students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I realize tutoring is not just about being a private teacher who delivers knowledge outside of school. It is also about being a mentor, a facilitator, a friend who can help learners grow and develop good habits in order to have the best performance in learning. Besides, the tutor is the one who understand the student' strengths and weaknesses in learning, therefore, the tutor can develop tailored sessions that will maximize the performance of the student.
