What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I believe that tutoring can be a signifiant learning experience just as much for the teacher as the learner. I enjoy the process of interacting with students from different walks of life, and in the process, being exposed to alternate perspectives that I had not considered before. Tutoring, for me, extends beyond curriculum to encompass values of compassion and empathy. I enjoy making my students feel accepted and offering them a safe space free of judgement though the process of learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that I am a sociable person, with a strong work ethic. I am very passionate about teaching and so, commit my time and effort into doing my homework and being wholly prepared for my students. English is also my favourite subject so I feel confident teaching it. I am kind, a keen listener, and understand that every student has unique needs and learns differently. I try my best to adapt to that kind of diversity, because the comfort of my students is key to their progress in the subject.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In my opinion, making the student feel comfortable is key to establishing a healthy and optimistic relationship with learning. The teaching space needs to be free of judgement and should feel inclusive. A one-size-fits-all method of teaching disregards every student's unique circumstances so the tutor should make an active effort to empathise with their students and be patient with them whenever necessary.
