What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Seeing the joy that a student exudes when they finally understand a concept they've been struggling with and the confidence they gain in themselves.
I also really enjoy the challenge of finding different ways and activities to explain a concept to a student in itself and passing on the things that I've learnt and the ways I studied to the benefit of the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am patient, compassionate, observant and believe in every student. This means that during lessons, I will take time to introduce a concept or go over ones that the student is struggling with, taking into account their individual learning styles and interests. I will try as many different activities and analogies as it takes for the student to achieve a better understanding of the topic or concept.
Because I believe in every student I always try to foster an encouraging environment in which they can challenge themselves without fear of making mistakes and in turn, find the joy of learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide an encouraging space outside the classroom, in which the student has the freedom to explore a topic or concept without the fear of making mistakes or seeing these mistakes as failures, so that they can gain more confidence in their academic abilities and themselves.
On the part of the tutor, this will look like coming prepared to the sessions with lesson planning, always having a positive and warm attitude, patiently guiding the student, and then encouraging the student to challenge themselves independently too.
