What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable part about tutoring for me is the very moment when the concept you're explaining makes sense to your student. This is an incredibly fulfilling feeling, as I know that my explanation has helped this person achieve a better understanding. The enjoyable part is knowing your help has made a difference to someone, and hopefully helped improve their grades.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths as a tutor lie in my explanation skills. I attempt to use very logical and concise explanations, and have the flexibility to explain in different ways if needed. Furthermore, I value individuals having a thorough and complete undertanding of why concepts are applied in the way they are. For example, why you need to apply a certain mathematical equation rather than just memorizing the correct method. Understanding the concept fully is what helped me learn so well and achieve the results I needed, so my strength is applying that to students who need it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Relating to my strengths as a tutor, I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is giving a thorough and concise explanation of every single concept to a student, in a way that isn't only just memorizing, but also using their own logic and thought process to understand and learn on their own as they go. This must all be applied in an enjoyable and tolerable way for the student, incentivising them to want to learn and understand, and creating a safe learning space. School can be stressful, and sometimes teachers don't teach in an enjoyable way. This is why this factor is vital.

Struggled to think of ideas for a narrative without some assistance. Not a major issue for this particular assessment but will need to work on it for writing on the spot narratives.
