What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing that I found to be most interesting when I tutored others is that I got to learn new things as well, despite me being the teacher. The people who I tutor can sometimes come up with question that are unique, and I get to discover new information and knowledge I didn't have before. Aside from that, I also like the socialization that comes with being a tutor. I get to meet new people and build new relationships with others. It is a unique experience that comes from teaching others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, one of my strengths would be my patience. I don't rush things much, and I can be level headed at times when others may be stressed out. I am also quick thinking and creative, able to come up with unique solutions to a problem, as these skills are imperative to be an engineer, which is my current major. Finally, I'm also considered friendly by many people, as I don't talk in a rough demeanour and I try to stay kind to everyone I meet.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
“Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can eat for a lifetime.†This line from a bygone era correctly depicts what we should do as tutors; we shouldn’t just give out the answers to our students’ questions. We should give them the ability to find it for themselves. The most important thing I can give my student would be the skills necessary for them to succeed in their current units and the drive and motivation that will help them grow as a person.
